Stenciled on edge of road "SLIGH BLVD. 1100". Caption at bottom right corner reads "PICKARD'S SERVICE STA / & COFFEE SHOP / SLIGH & COLUMBIA STS. / ORLANDO FLA. 1947"
Provenance Per Diane Pickard Stowers:

Gas station was owned by Bertred Charles Pickard. In 1945 my father Rolland Lee Pickard brought our family to Orlando and he built the diner with an apartment above. My family ran the diner and we lived there until 1947 when the diner & gas station were sold. I don't know when my grandfather bought the station - but I think it was early 1930s.
