Title Cox Family Papers
Scope & Content This collection contains papers that belonged primarily to Benjamin R. Cox Jr., but some also belonged to his father and a few to his son, Benjamin R. Cox III. The papers have been organized into four series.
Series I, Military Service Materials: contains military service materials for Benjamin R. Cox in World War I and Benjamin R. Cox Jr. in World War II.
Series II, Occupational Materials: comprise of material related to Cox, Sr. and Cox, Jr.
Series III, Personal Materials: these items mainly belonged to Benjamin R. Cox Jr. This series contains a variety of items including music programs, high school merit and tennis court cards, and Christmas cards.
Series IV, Overlapping Materials: contains one folder of items that are both occupational and relate to scouting. These items were joined by the creator for a reason that is not clear. The items have, therefore, not been separated but have been left together in this series.
