This small Record Group contains materials pertaining to two Central Florida doctors: LeRoy Merwin Sutter and L. N. Christensen.
Dr. Sutter's materials are divided into five folders:
FF1 contains a diploma from Washington Missionary College in Takoma Park, Washington, DC (Maryland), and a credentials card from the Southern Union Conference of Seventh-day Adventists identifying Dr. Sutter as a missionary for the conference.
FF2 contains materials from Dr. Sutter's time in the United States Army during World War II, including his immunization register, a news clipping, an ID card and berthing card for his trip overseas, and a Christmas card from the 17th Armored Engineer Battalion.
FF3 contains licenses, issued by various levels of government, licensing Mr. Sutter to practice medicine in Orlando.
FF4 contains special tax stamps registering Dr. Sutter as a "PRACTITIONER DISPENSING OPIUM, COCA LEAVES, ETC." for the years 1948/49 and 1951/52.
FF5 contains a degree from Loma Linda University updating his Doctorate of Medicine from 1930 because the school had been reincorporated as Loma Linda University.
Dr. Christensen's materials consist of a few newspaper clippings about him and his wife, and an issue of Census, the newsletter of the Florida Sanitarium and Hospital, highlighting the Christensen's coming move to Japan.
