This item is a citrus fruit inspection certificate issued September 23, 1938 by the Florida Department of Agriculture. The shipper being inspected was Cozzens Fruit House of Orlando. The owner of the truck in which the fruit was to be shipped was Mary Compton of Orlando. The inspector's name was Don M. Kenney.
The certificate provides several pieces of information, including but not limited to the products to be shipped, their quality and condition, their grade, and the inspector's fee. On the reverse side of the document are some adhered stamps: four one-cent citrus stamps and one five cent orange stamp.
