Scope & Content This collection contains documents relating to Josef Henschen. It includes twenty (20) type-written transcribed letters written between 1871 and 1923. The letters are written by Josef Henschen to his friend Knut Angstrom (after Knut's death, Josef addresses the letters to Knut's widow and children).

There are also five original documents pertaining to Josef Henschen:
1. State and County License for the profession of Merchant in the city of Oakland, for Josef Henschen, November 12, 1900.
